Youth Church June 3 2018 Lesson Matthew 18 on Forgiveness
What do you do with your child’s 18 years?
Parents have the biblical responsibility of raising their children "in the training and instruction of the Lord" Ephesians 6:3. That is a work of the heart, not merely providing for, protecting, and correcting behavior. And, it begins in the heart of the parent and affects all you do Deut. 6:5-9
. Our church wants to come alongside you as the parent and support you in equipping your children for a God-filled life.
Priorities we want for all of our children:
1. That they Love God: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart," -this is the first and greatest commandment.
2. That they love and respect others: "Love your neighbor as you do yourself." -the second commandment.
18 years seems like a long time but, there are only 216 months and only 936 weeks from the time a child is born until they grow up, graduate, and move on to whatever is next. Since your time with your kids is limited, consider counting down the weeks. Why?
When you see how little time you have left, you can break it up in to manageable pieces and plan the time you have with them now.
Because what you do as a parent every week and month matters more than you think.
As a parent, some of the most important things you do for your child don’t happen in a single day. You make small deposits in their life week after week and over time you will raise children who love God, are aware of what God has done for them, have a strong faith, love and respect others and are at peace with their place and identity in this world.
Come join us where the family of God surrounds your children with love and prayers as you raise them for 216+ months and 936+ weeks.
Newly Created Church Library for Youth- begun June 2018
No longer will a child go without a book because they could not get to the library. Especially, in the summer there are many children that do not have access to the local library so, we are bringing the library to them.
We are excited to unveil our new CGMBC Library for the youth. Small but, growing by the dozen each week. Every child may check out 1-2 books pr magazines every Sunday and return them in exchange for another. Thanks for the generous donations adding to our options. Especially desired are Caldecott and Blueberry and other award winning books for all ages.
Children also have a chance to be the librarian and add to their career options.

We concluded with the planting of a Tangelo Tree on the church grounds and a fun day Saturday with Inflatable Jump Arena and Dual Lane Water Slide bbq hot dogs and hamburgers and a wonderful time had by all.
Our 2018 Vacation Bible School program, Jesus the Kingdom Builder, taught us that God has given each of us gifts, talents, and abilities to employ for His glory.
