82nd Church Anniversary
We invite you to join Central Garden Missionary Baptist Church in celebration of our 82nd Church Anniversary service weekend. The theme for the weekend is “Return Home Again” Romans 15:13 “May the God of Hope Fill You With All Joy and Peace.”
In the midst of these tumultuous times there has never been a more important year for a unified effort to invite people back to their home church. Most of us have closed our doors since 2020 for the sake of our communities.
Since then, church re-openings have been staggered and people unsure. Let’s declare ourselves ready to share good news with our world.
Return Home Again on this the 82nd Anniversary of your home church’s beginning on March 20th at 11:15am. We asking that you come this Sunday or anytime over the next month to step in and say hello, get a hug, catch up and fellowship with us.
Finding that place called Home is more than just a place but, a linked history. It is something personal, yet something we take part in together. It takes trust, a little risk, and a journey worth telling a story about.
Home is something familiar, somewhere safe and comforting, a place full of shared memories, and something that we feel personally, in unique ways. The story of home is being told again and again, each time revealing something new.
It’s time to love again, serve again, and HOPE again
The Homecoming committee is asking each member for whatever donation you able to give. If unable to send a lump sum now we ask that you consider in a re-occurring gift of $8.20 every month for a year.
We look forward to your presence over the next month as we bless God for his faithfulness.

We have morning worship service running from 11:15am-12:45pm and afterwards you will have Tea, Coffee and Snacks giving an opportunity to make new friends and learn about our church. During the morning service we have a time of worship led by the music and praise ministry and the children go to their groups half way through this service. A member of the pastoral staff will then give a sermon based on a passage from the Bible and then there will an invitation for you to come up for prayer or discipleship.

Since the early days when our first Pastor and First Lady Rev. & Mrs. Johnnie Watkins led this congregation until now, we’ve always strived to follow Christ’s example and to be overcomers and conquerors over all life’s obstacles, conditions and, circumstances knowing that Jesus has already won the battle we must only learn to live a victorious life. Central Garden Church has been thriving and serving the Lord for more than 80 years.
